Fervent A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer By Priscilla Shirer

This study will discuss how to develop individual strategic prayer plans to help apply Ephesians 6:18 to pray, “On all occasions will all kinds of prayers”.

Fervent will equip and encourage you to strengthen your prayer life and relationship with your Savior. You will explore prayer strategies that target the areas that the enemy zeros in on in a Christian’s life; passion, family, past, fears and hurts, to name a few.

Basic Christianity by John Scott

This study seeks to help women understand the basic tenets of Christianity, why we need a Savior and why we can firmly believe that Jesus Christ is that Savior who should also be our Lord.  Using the book “Basic Christianity” by John R.W. Stott as a starting place, we will explore the fundamental truths of Christianity.  Is Jesus Christ the Son of God who came to be the Savior of the world?  Is there any proof of his existence or is believing in Jesus just wishful thinking? Why do we need a Savior in the first place?  How are we saved?  What happens afterwards?

Topics we will cover will include:  Who is Jesus Christ and is He who He said He was?  Mankind’s need for salvation from sin.  The death and salvation of Jesus Christ.  Our response to His sacrifice on our behalf.  We will also consider the beliefs of major denominations, without biasing one over any other because PWOC is a non-denominational organization.  Additionally, we will do our best to answer questions about basic Christianity.

This class is for all women who want to explore the basics of the Christian faith.  It is appropriate for those who are new to the faith, mature believers, and especially those still seeking.  We want to know the truth because the truth will set us free.
